Our Story

1980's - The Beginning
In 1981 Peter Masters left school and started a building services apprenticeship with Matthew Hall Ltd. Being a well renowned company and leader of industry, Peter was able to benefit from expert training and professional guidance. which lead to his development into a mechanically biased building services engineer. 
1990's
During the 90's; with the construction industry suffering somewhat, due to the building recession, opportunities on new build projects were limited. This lead to an increase in demand for engineers within the maintenance sector. This is something that interested Peter. An initial internal transfer to Matthew Hall Maintenance was followed by a decision to join forces with Dudley Bower who instated Peter as head of maintenance, in a secondment to Reuters UK. 
2000's
Around the Millennium, having gained experience working for a number of corporate organisations including Warner Brothers International, Peter found himself working for ISG in a role that involved overseeing all elements of mechanical and electrical engineering, being installed as part of Cat A and Cat B commercial office fit-outs. Enjoying this role, but realising that his full potential was not being met, Peter decided in 2003, to form his own practice, whereby he would be able to offer back to his previous clients, the benefits of the expertise he had gained. 
2010's
Between 2010 and 2014, through a natural migration within the industry,  Peter became increasingly involved in Project Management. In this role, the overseeing of the M&E elements of work was just part of an overall package of service delivery that provided full Cat B fit-out solutions to his clients. With the name Client First beginning to resonate throughout the fit-out industry, Peter was given an opportunity in 2014, from the CEO of Executive Office Group Ltd, who approached him, with an offer to, almost exclusively provide these, and other FM services across a portfolio of real estate properties. This commission ultimately amounted to the Project Management and M&E Consultancy on £30M of project turnover, across a total of 30+ buildings throughout London.
2020's - The Future
In 2020, Peter decided to create a new vision for Client First  based on the changing economy and political landscape, and focusing on providing UK businesses with a continued support service, Peter relaunched his practice to share his skills, and the benefits of his experience, with a wider sector of clients. Working directly, or utilising his trusted team of long term associates, the key elements of Peter's current offering can be found elsewhere, within this website. As we embark on a new decade, we very much look forward to continuing our story.
